Hiring a portrait photographer is an investment. It's an investment in preserving the moments of today and to remember tomorrow. Who you select as your photographer should not be done on a whim, but with thought and consideration. What you like to accomplish during your portrait session should mesh with the photographer's philosophy and style. If you are wanting traditional, studio-style images, we are not the photographers you want to hire. If you want simple and carefree artistic images of your family as they are, then we are the photographers for you!

To help better guide you in determining if we are the photographers for you, here are some commonly asked questions:

How much is a session fee?

All of our session fees start at $100.00.

What all is included in the session fee? Does it include prints?

No. The session fee is for our time and talent. It also covers touch-ups to your images such as minor blemish/wrinkle removal, teeth whitening, etc. After the intial personal proofing session, you will also receive an online gallery to view your photos and make additional purchases.

When is the session fee due?

The session fee is due at the time of scheduling your session. It is to reserve your date and time. We accept credit cards, checks and cash. The session fee is non refundable.

How much should I budget to spend on portraits?

The average client spends around $500.00 on their custom portrait session. This amount will vary depending on your budget and the value you place on portraits.

What is the best time of the day to have a session?

Usually the mornings, but this is dependent on many factors, such as work, children's school or nap schedules, weather and availability.

What should we wear?

This really depends on personal preference. Just remember... the simpler the better. We recommend staying away from clothing with logos or graphics since this can draw your attention away from the subject.

Are pets allowed at out portrait session?

Yes. Pets are allowed on location and in our studio.

When is the best time to have a maternity session?

They are typically scheduled between 32-36 weeks to prevent from either being too uncomfortable to "pose" in a flattering manner or from cutting it too close to the baby's birth.

What is the best age to have newborn portraits done?

Preferably at one week old. After 2 weeks, newborn acne may kick in and the baby becomes less likely to want to be molded into great baby poses.

Do you offer plans if we commit to coming in so many times a year?

Yes. We offer a "Little Beans" program for children. These sessions are free. You only pay for the prints. There are several different kinds of memberships too that can save you tons of money on prints and frames. Please call us for more information.

How far in advance should I schedule?

We are typically booked weeks in advance with Saturdays being more in demand. It's best to schedule as soon as you know that we are the right photographers for you!

When should I contact you about my wedding?

As soon as you have a date. We want to spend as much time preparing with you as possible.
